FUTUREMARK MOVES TO BIOLATEX COATINGS
FutureMark is now using EcoSynthetix® EcoSphere® biolatex® binding agents in its paper coating formula instead of the traditional chemical binders derived from petroleum that’s used by most of the paper industry.

ECOSYNTHETIX ANNOUNCES COMMERCIAL USE OF ITS BIOLATEX BINDERS AT NIPPON PAPER MILL IN JAPAN
EcoSynthetix of Lansing, Michigan and Burlington, Canada today announces the use of EcoSphere® biolatex™ binders by Nippon Paper Industries (NPI) of Tokyo, Japan. NPI has been commercially using EcoSphere at one of its mills since January of 2009, and is running mill trials at a number of its mills producing coated paper.

ECOSYNTEHTIX CLOSES $10.1 MILLION FINANCING ROUND
VentureLink LP, manager of the VentureLink Group of retail venture capital funds, with over $265 million in assets under management, today announced that EcoSynthetix, Inc., a portfolio holding of the VentureLink Brighter Future Fund Inc., has closed a USD $10.1 million Class A-3B preferred share financing led by Canaccord Financial Ltd. The new funding will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes as EcoSynthetix expands its production, sales and marketing efforts in 2010.
